Interactive white boards

As we are about to lauch into another assignment which will include the use of an interactive whiteboard lesson, I have taken a book out from the library, Kent,P.2008.Interactive Whiteboards. A practical guide for primary teachers. Macmillian Education Australia. I found this really easy to read and provided example lessons. One example I particularly liked was the use of 'Promethean' in a lesson teaching symetry. A students photo was scanned onto the IWB and a rectangle covered half of the image. The students then try and draw the refelection of the uncovered half of the face. I felt this lesson would be effective as it used the students image (which made it releveant to them) rather than the image of,say, a butterfly.
