Teachers need to have many websites they can call upon to make their role of educator easier and time effective.

These are some sites I have come across during my learning journey in EDN 113, Living and Learning with Technology, but also I have included some of my personal sites that I have found to be invaluable to assist me in my role as education support and now more recently, pre-service teacher.

Jing allows you to capture images and share them instantly with others. Jing also is an excellent way of sharing documents to allow easier collaboration amongst groups. Click on the link below,

Diigo

Diigo is another resource to assist in collaborative working. Diigo allows the user to capture an image and then store it for future reference. One of the features of Diigo allows you to view a document or page of a book, highlight a particular section and then save it in the 'cloud' ready for retrieval at a later date.  Click on the link below,

The 'SMART table' is  another interactive resourse that can be used in the classroom. It comes with free download applications and can be used by a number of  people at the same time. The SMART table can be used in conjunction with an Interactive white board. Click on the link below,

SEN teacher is primarily for students with special needs, however, this free resource site is packed full of easily printable resouces and useful websites for mainstream students learning to.  Click on the link below,


Bitesize 

This website is an interactive site for students from K- 12. It provides a fun and interactive way to learn as well as providing revision sites for older students. As this is an English website KS1 would relate to early childhood, KS2 - middle primary and KS3- upper primary. Click on the link below,


TeacherWeb 

This website provides easy to follow step by step instructions on how to create a classroom webpage. A number of teachers I know use this site at the school I currently work at, they have all commented on how easy it is to use. They have also incorportated a classroom blog which children add to inclass.
